Hello OCC Faculty,
We have several exciting opportunities to share with you about
textbook affordability and OER! We have saved students over $750,000 through
our grants so far and we want that number to grow. We have been hard at work
getting funding to continue our textbook affordability efforts and I’m happy to
announce that funding is now available! We have three opportunities to announce:
- Faculty may receive a maximum of $1000 per course to support activities necessary for adopting an OER textbook in place of a traditional textbook. Once funding runs out, this will no longer be available.
- The Library can provide you with a desk copy of your OER textbook, as well as a copy to go on library reserve. Funded by the Friends of the Library
- The Library may be able to buy an ebook copy of your textbook for students to use. Availability is limited to what we can purchase - only some textbooks will be available. Funded by the Friends of the Library
